How to use
Step 1: Locate the electrical circuit breaker that controls the power to the outlet you want to install the socket on and turn it off.
Step 2: Remove the cover plate from the wall socket or conduit box to expose the wiring.
Step 3: Carefully connect the wires from the socket to the wiring in the wall using wire nuts or screw terminals. The live (brown) wire should be connected to the terminal labelled “L,” the neutral (blue) wire to the terminal labelled “N,” and the earth (green or yellow) wire to the terminal labelled “E.”.
Step 4: Insert the socket into the mounting box and use the screws provided to secure it in place.
Step 5: Turn the circuit breaker back on to supply power to the socket.
Step 6: To use the socket, simply plug in the device or appliance you want to use.
Step 7: To turn the power on or off to the device or appliance, use the switch on the front faceplate of the socket. Push the switch up to turn the power on and down to turn the power off. When the switch is on, the neon indicator light will glow, indicating that the socket is supplying power.
Step 8: When you are finished using the device or appliance, turn the switch off and unplug it from the socket.
Step 9: If you need to remove the socket for any reason, turn off the power at the circuit breaker, remove the cover plate, and disconnect the wires from the socket.
